Macintosh Help Sessions: Every Thursday, I am available at Mad Mike’s Coffee Shop for a drop-in help and learning session. Location: 202 North 1st Avenue (corner of Bridge Street, the one that goes to City Beach) – above The Tunnel. Time: 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. Drop by for a cup of coffee or tea, munch on a fresh-baked scone, and let’s talk Mac!

Here’s what I can help with:

Intro-System: Focus on equipment (desktop, portable, displays, keyboards, mice, drives), the Finder/Desktop, file management, and System Preferences.

Apple Basics: Focus on Safari, Mail, Address Book, iCal, iChat, Text Edit, Preview. A little about iTunes and iPhoto.

Apple Internet: Focus on browsers (Safari, Firefox, Chrome), email programs (Mail and Entourage/Outlook) and providers (MobileMe, Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo), video chat, basic social networking (Facebook and Twitter), iTunes Store.

iTunes and iPods: Everything about iTunes, music management, Podcasts, iTunes Store,
